SWAT ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING

For OV3RWATCH volunteers who are alumni of the Houston Citizen’s Police Academy, one very rewarding experience is to be called upon by Houston SWAT to serve as actors and role players for a variety of specialized training scenarios.

Having real actors really enhances the training experience for our SWAT officers, you just can’t simulate this kind of interaction.

Pictured here are officers and volunteers for the Active Shooter Training for large venues.  As a volunteer, it is equally informative to observe and strategize about potential survival actions if you every find yourself in a similar situation.
