PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

The OV3RWATCH Foundation provides volunteer and financial assistance to support training efforts of the Houston Police Department Special Operations Unit.

The Special Response Group (SRG) is involved with all protests, demonstrations, rallies, and mass gatherings. They are equipped and prepared to handle any type of situation. The goal of the SRG is to be prepared for any situation and influence a peaceful ending.

To conduct this training, “actors” are needed to portray certain roles which enable the officers to simulate various scenarios.  Foundation volunteers, who undergo FBI and Homeland Security background checks, are authorized to assist in SRG Training as role players.
