FEEDING THE FIRST RESPONDERS

A big thank you to Angela Lipsey and her team in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.  Angela was able to coordinate numerous resupply trips for a variety of agencies who were put on emergency status during this severe weather event.

As a Friend of the Force, Angela’s work was greatly appreciated by the officers, command staff, and critical duty personnel who spend days and weeks away from family and friends while on shift.

Angela, pictured here (middle), can be seen dropping off 300 sandwiches at the Houston Police Officers Union (HPOU).  HPOU was one of the resupply basecamps for the Central, and other stations after the floods.

A special thank you to BB’s Cafe for their generous donation to our department and other emergency response personnel.

The volunteer spirit is alive and well in our great city and we thank Angela, BB’s Cafe, and their team.
